Colorado Historic Preservation Conference Early-Bird Registration Ends December 20

Early-bird registration for Colorado Preservation Inc.'s annual Saving Places conference is available until December 20 at just $135. After December 21 registration will increase to $165. Nation's Largest Shopping Mall Switches To LED Christmas Lights

The nation's largest shopping mall, the King of Prussia Mall, located in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania will replace nearly 300,000 incandescent Christmas lights with energy efficient LED Christmas lights this year.

The management team of the King of Prussia Mall has been heavily focused over the last two years on an effort to conserve energy and adopt environmentally sound business practices. In fact, the organization established a "green" task force which heads up the company's environmental efforts. In keeping with these efforts, the King of Prussia Mall announced that it will replace nearly 300,000 of its almost ½ million Christmas lights with LEDs. "It was really an easy decision because the lights last so much longer and use so little energy--we'll recover the cost in less than 1 year," said Mark Bachus, Marketing Manager for King of Prussia Mall. Ocean Lakes' Surf Campers were thrilled to see Cole Richards and Cam Richards, members of the Billabong Surf Team. Surfers lined up for autographs and posed for photos, excited to meet the young sponsored surfers from the Billabong Amateur Team. Cole Richards, age 16, has placed in several East Coast competitions. In the East Coast Surfing Championship he was the only kid to place first in three divisions: the boys short board, boys long board and Men's open event (men's open included all the male competitors from every division). Xtreme Juice Selected to Compete in Breaking Record for "World's Biggest Smoothie"

Tampa-based Xtreme Juice ("XJ") has officially been selected to compete in becoming the creator of the soon-to-be Guinness Book of World Records Largest Smoothie! This monumental Tampa event will commence at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 11 in the baseball field park lot of Christ the King Church on South Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa, Florida. XJ fans and the Tampa community are invited to join and watch history in the making.

Xtreme Juice will make history - and a really big smoothie - Saturday, July 11th in Tampa, Florida. All mony raised will go to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay.

XJ plans to break the current world record held by Canada's Booster Juice, which claimed the title in 2006 with a 150 gallon smoothie. To accomplish this feat, the XJ team will blend a smoothie exceeding 200 gallons, the equivalent of over 1,600 smoothies. The company estimates that it will take four hours, 6 blenders, and 10 members of staff to mix, blend and pour the World's Largest Smoothie. The smoothie will be made with XJ's most popular flavor, the Strawberry Scream. This refreshing blend of strawberry and apple juice combines a delicious mix of fresh strawberries, bananas, strawberry sherbet, nonfat frozen yogurt and ice.

For a suggested donation of $5 per person, attendees can also slurp a tasty piece of history while helping to raise thousands of dollars for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay. "I am truly honored that Xtreme Juice selected Big Brothers Big Sisters as its charity of choice for this record breaking event," said Stephen A.
