Beginning in the late 1930s, and racing against time and competition, the men export Cajun ingenuity from the Persian Gulf to the Arctic Circle. Lauded for his novelistic style, the author brings to life the colorful Cajuns behind the world's largest tugboat company--how the fleets were built and at what human cost.

Woody Falgoux is a former radio & TV journalist and author of One Dream: The NFL.
