2007 National Parent Care Day: A Time For Children To Celebrate Their Parents
National Parent Care Day is a day for people to celebrate their parents and their lives. Started in 2005 by Dan Taylor, creator and author of The Parent Care Solution and The Parent Care Conversations, National Parent Care Day was will give children of all ages a day to honor their parents and begin the process of addressing the challenges. Slated for May 22, 2007, National Parent Care Day will build awareness of parent care issues among city, state, and national leaders and legislators.
"I learned the hard way," says Dan Taylor, who is hoping his work will inspire people across the country to begin planning today. "I was faced with my own father's fight with Alzheimer's, which left me and my family feeling helpless. National Parent Care Day is a way we can spread the word that it is never too late to begin having the necessary conversations with parents about their wishes and desires as they grow older."
