Discoveries, a collection of 50 poems by award-winning poet Jerrel Wolfe, covers the full spectrum of human emotion and experience with skill and sensitivity. Wolfe writes about the common themes of romance, adventure, lost love, and the human spirit searching for answers to age-old questions about the hidden layers and richer meaning of life.
Wolfe, named poet laureate of 2005 by poets.com, uses his keen eye for observation and his unique skill at weaving together voices from the past with the issues of the present. He is haunted by ghostly voices telling him of ancient tragedies and is visited by meaningful dreams. He speaks of the beauty of nature and tells us romantic tales of old worlds full of hardship and glory. Then he brings us back to reality with his yearning for truth and understanding about the things that concern us all: Relationships, spirituality, loss, and the exquisite, unparalleled feeling of the first bloom of love.... Marek Lorenc, M.D., I like the two separate compartments; its much healthier to keep food items stored away from soiled diapers." The inner lining of the bag is made of oil cloth fabric for easy clean up and better hygiene. The backpack design allows hands free for baby, which parents love. I found Hannahstyless Diaper Bag for Men to be an innovative as well as a healthy choice for both men and women to protect their spines. Carrying a balanced load on both shoulders decreases the cumulative stress on your back, shoulders and neck, thus reducing your risk of injury. Also, the backpack design allows for your hands to be free to lift and carry the baby using safer biomechanical techniques. Overall, it is a great design to protect your back and your health and is a perfect choice for the health-conscious parent," states Lori-Ann Gertonson, D.C. Not one, but two students at Pima Medical Institute, 370 Printers Parkway in Colorado Springs received national honors from the American Medical Technologists. Ronnie Lynn Lewis won the Outstanding Student Award in the Dental Assistant category and Philip Young received the Outstanding Student Award in the Medical Assistant category.
The Outstanding Student Award recognizes students enrolled in Allied Health Programs whose achievements are judged to be outstanding. The student body with faculty supervision nominates a student based on academic record, extracurricular school or profession-related activities, attendance, cooperation and conduct, initiative and ability to get along with people. Students are selected from Allied Health Professional accredited career colleges throughout the U.S. Both Lewis and Young will receive $250, a plaque and a free full package registration to the AMT Educational Program and National meeting July 11-16 in Kansas City, Missouri.
We were just ecstatic when we heard two of our students won top honors in this national competition," said Karen McGrath, campus director for the Colorado Springs career college. Our campus is smaller than a lot of the career colleges in the Allied Health system, but the bottom line is our students really excel. Ronnie and Philip are proof of that. The students, staff and faculty are extremely proud of both of them."
The competition honors students in seven categories, Dental Assistant, Medical Administrative Assistant, Medical Laboratory Assistant, Medical Assistant, Medical Laboratory Technician, Office Laboratory Technician and Phlebotomy Technician. The Colorado Springs campus has programs for Dental Assistant, Medical Administrative Assistant, Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Technician and Veterinary Assistant.
PMI is one of the premier medical career colleges in the western United States. The privately owned, accredited school provides students with a well-rounded education embracing theoretical classroom studies, as well as on-site training in allied health facilities within the community. This gives the student the opportunity to function in a working environment.
PMI has been serving students since 1972, with campuses in: Albuquerque, New Mexico; Mesa and Tucson, AZ; Chula Vista, CA, Seattle and Renton, WA; Las Vegas, NV; as well as Colorado Springs and Denver. A small spring on the homestead provided the elixir that healed him, according to local legend,” Terry O. Roen states in an article in “The Orlando Sentinel” published in April.... (Continue reading)
