Sutherland Wins Six Sigma Contest for Global IT and ITeS Companies
Each contestant corporation completed an extensive case study presentation and Q&A session with a panel of judges. Contestant corporations had to address project goals, scope, time frame, expected benefits and steps covered in the actual live project. The New York-based Company, with over 17,500 employees across 18 global delivery centers, beat Infosys and Wipro to the number one spot. Other contestants included GE R&D, Mind Tree, Satyam, Nielson, Hewlett Packard and Deutsche Bank.
Commenting on the win, Sutherland Chairman and CEO Dilip Vellodi said, "Given the stature and the experience of the contestants, this is indeed a great accomplishment. This win validates the effectiveness of the Six Sigma rigor for continuous improvement that we have implemented at Sutherland."
