Gaming Gets Ethical -- as Fair Trade "Machinima" Videos Spark Controversy

When "Machinima" animation company Strange Company (http://www.strangecompany.org) released two short video spots to coincide with Fair Trade Fortnight, they had no idea what to expect. Made using the "Machinima" technique of filmmaking within popular video games, the two ads are provoking heated ethical debate in forums more used to exploring the finer points of "Raiding", "Phat lewt" and "Player-vs-Player".

One of the video spots, made within the Massively Multiplayer game World of Warcraft, tells the story of a poor Troll who, rather than using the game's normal Auction House system, is forced to work through the same system that exploits third-world farmers. Within three days of its release, it had racked up over 8,000 views on Internet video website YouTube.com, making it the most linked film in its category that day.... (Continue reading)

The Size of Your Network Does Matter

The average businessperson could probably guess that a bigger personal network would tend to increase their number of referrals received. Now hard data from the worlds largest network referral company shows just how much someone can benefit from building a bigger Rolodex.

According to Dr. Ivan Misner, CEO of the worlds largest networking firm, BNI (Business Network International), larger networks produce overwhelmingly better results.

With the help of some of our chapter heads who studied the issue," Misner says, BNI now has proof. We call it the rule of 20. We consistently found that our individual chapters that had a membership of 20 or more had, on average, three times the number of referrals as groups with less than 20. It may sound simple enough, but what it points to is an exponential effect in adding new members to any existing network."... (Continue reading)

The review offers insight and opportunity afforded investors as Thelon possesses 5 highly prospective projects of significance that are likely to generate near term catalysts for investors with active drilling programs on 2 key uranium projects;

1) Pasfield Lake Project, Athabasca Basin: Thelon was able to confirm the geological structure below their Pasfield Lake project has 3 fault zones with depth to basement of 300m and evidence supports the postulation of professionals regarding a significant uranium deposit under the lake. Drilling on now.

Now trading at under a mere $0.15 cents, the market cap of Thelon is poised for upside valuation movement with a number of potential catalysts currently in the works..."

3 Minute Sex - Australians Have Even More in Common with Americans According to Partner4Real.com

A poll conducted by online dating site Partner4Real.com has confirmed recent research out of the U.S. that three minute sex is "adequate", and 7-13 minute sex is ideal.

Over 2,000 members were polled, with an overwhelming 65 percent saying that anything over 13 minutes is too long, and that 3-7 minutes is the ideal amount of time.

Brett Smith, the Partner4real Dating and Health Expert, said that these findings reflected what most Australians would already know but would rarely admit too. "Interestingly, 25 percent of females said that while 7-13 minutes was ideal, they still expected extended foreplay. Reports indicate that he was also charged with open and gross lewdness" for allegedly urinating in front of the police officer, as well as disorderly conduct. He also was also allegedly described as rude and combative". I always advise my clients to be polite at all times", says Matson. The best thing to do is to politely ask to speak with a lawyer, and not answer any questions, other than producing required documents." Matson went on to add, Clearly, the alleged lewd behavior can only be damaging to the case at trial."... (Continue reading)
