Architect of Sound Releases Innovative Artist EP, Revisits Artistic Roots

Lead composer and president of music composition and sound design company Architect of Sound has released an artist EP on iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody and eMusic. This genre-bending three song offering of chilled out electronica drew its inspiration from compositions originally intended for use in short films. Composing for film offers Adam Johnson the chance to experiment with various emotive sonic elements and atypical genres, often resulting in unique and innovative music. "The challenges of writing for film, i.e. the need to create in any genre and respond musically to a director's vision, is also the reward. Often, I stretch my musical vision to capture the emotion of a particular scene and produce innovative musical chunks that form that foundation of my artistic work." This three song EP is a harbinger of a full-length album currently in production and afforded Johnson the chance to get back to his artistic roots. "I am, first and foremost, a musician. This fact can get buried in the day to day hustle of professional composition. Creating this EP was a vehicle for me to focus on what I love, creating music for its own sake, free from professional and commercial restraints." The Architect of Sound EP can be found on iTunes, Naptser, Rhapsody and eMusic.... (Continue reading)
